Auto or RV insurance claim lowballed or denied
Good Sam Insurance Agency is an agency. The policies come from National General carriers (Integon, MIC General, National General Assurance and others, per Good Sam's California licensing page). A 2026 storm claim was denied from dealer photos, with no adjuster visit. Our founder's truck claim paid about $3,000 on a $7,000+ Toyota estimate.
What's going on
The insurance complaints here are fewer than the ESP and roadside ones. That's because a carrier, not Good Sam, decides an insurance claim.
It also means the strongest place to complain is your state insurance department, about the carrier named on your declarations page.

What the terms say
Policy language is from carrier; see declarations page.
Before it happens to you
- Ask for an in-person adjuster and a written denial that cites the policy language.
- Get your own estimate from a shop or a public adjuster.
- File with your state department of insurance and name the National General company on your declarations page.
- Look up that carrier's complaint record on the NAIC Consumer Insurance Search.
If it already happened
- Request adjuster and written denial
- State DOI complaint against the carrier (National General entity on dec page)
- Check NAIC CIS complaint index
Then put it on the Wall, and see more options on Fight back.
